You can install Tembo as a Progressive Web App on your device for quick access and an app-like experience. This allows you to use Tembo directly from your home screen without opening a browser.
Installation Steps

Open Tembo in your browser - Navigate to app.tembo.io in your mobile browser or desktop browser that supports PWA installation.

Access the share menu - Look for the share icon in your browser (usually located in the address bar or browser menu).

Select “Add to Home Screen” - From the share menu, tap or click on “Add to Home Screen” option.

Confirm installation - Follow the prompts to add Tembo to your home screen.

Troubleshooting
PWA Installation Not Available
If you don’t see the “Add to Home Screen” option:
- Chrome (Desktop): Look for the install icon in the address bar (looks like a computer with a down arrow)
- Safari (iOS): The share button is at the bottom of the screen - scroll down in the share menu to find “Add to Home Screen”
- Chrome (Android): Tap the three-dot menu and look for “Add to Home Screen” or “Install app”
- Edge: Click the settings menu (three dots) and select “Apps” > “Install Tembo”
Browser Compatibility
PWA installation is supported on:
- Chrome/Edge (Desktop and Mobile)
- Safari (iOS 14.3+)
- Firefox (with limited support on some devices)
Clearing PWA Cache
If the PWA isn’t updating properly:
- iOS: Long-press the Tembo app icon > Remove App > Delete App, then reinstall from Safari
- Android: Settings > Apps > Tembo > Storage > Clear cache, then reinstall
- Desktop: Right-click the PWA window > “App info” > Clear data, then reinstall
